OKLAHOMA CITY – She’s All In, the top Oklahoma-bred in Thoroughbred racing, returned to her home track and romped in a $49,000 allowance event for older Oklahoma-bred females going one mile. In the process, the talented 6-year-old mare surpassed the million-dollar mark in total earnings.
She’s All In broke well and sat second behind pace-setting Foreign Sultress until the second turn. With just over a quarter-mile to go, jockey Luis Quinonez let She’s All In go and she quickly jumped to the lead. Once in the stretch, the dark bay drew off easily, winning by 4-1/2 lengths in the one-mile race. She crossed the finish in 1:38.21 over a fast track.
Owned by Robert Zoellner of Tulsa, Okla., She’s All In is trained byDonnie Von Hemel, who reported a professional effort afterwards.
“I asked Luis how comfortable she was,” Von Hemel said after the win. “He said ‘she was in control the whole way, once we got where we wanted to be.’ She went on about her business.”
The allowance race served as a prep event for next month’s Oklahoma Classics Distaff, a race She’s All In has won for three consecutive years.
“It was a great night,” Zoellner noted after the winner’s circle presentations. “It’s been a heckuva a ride. I wish everyone in the horse business gets a horse like this in their life.”
The ultra-heavy favorite at 1-9 odds, She’s All In paid $2.10 to win, $2.10 to place and $2.10 to show. Pets Superstar was the runner-up and returned $7.20 to place and $3.60 to show. Ocean Ahumin was third and paid $5.40 to show.
She’s All In won her 15th career race from 37 starts. Her 10th win at Remington Park was worth $28,347 to move her lifetime total to $1,024,789. A graded stakes winner, She’s All In is by Include from the Hickory Ridge mare Georgia OK. Bred by Zoellner, she has never been off the board in a race at one mile, now with six wins and three runner-up finishes from nine starts at the distance.
Remington Park racing continues a special Sunday afternoon program for Oklahoma Derby Day. The first race is at 1:30pm. The featured stakes races on Sunday include the Grade 3, $400,000 Oklahoma Derby along with the $200,000 Remington Park Oaks, the $150,000 Remington Park Sprint Cup, the $100,000 Remington Green Stakes, the $75,000 Kip Deville Stakes and the $50,000 Ladies on the Lawn Stakes.
